Trustly partners with GoFundMe to enhance verification of fundraiser beneficiaries

Trustly, the global leader in Online Banking Payments and No-account casino payment provider, is proud to announce the world’s leading fundraising platform, GoFundMe, as a new customer.

Through this innovative integration, a GoFundMe beneficiary can now access and withdraw the money raised on their behalf after a two-step verification process powered by Trustly. First, the beneficiary is verified by GoFundMe’s trust and safety team. Next, they simply select their banking institution, log in with the credentials, and their bank account is securely linked and ready to receive the funds.

The partnership is now live in the US and Canada, with additional countries to be rolled out.

Craig McDonald, Chief Business Officer of Trustly, Inc., says: “By leveraging our products, GoFundMe is demonstrating the value that our global banking connectivity and value-added services have for merchants with a worldwide footprint. We’re proud to be working with such a market-leading innovator and look forward to a successful global partnership.”

Vincent Sloan, Head of Platform Engineering at GoFundMe, says: “GoFundMe is trusted around the world for the simplicity, reliability, and safety of our fundraising experience. Trustly’s identity information services complement the robust trust and safety infrastructure we have in place, provide enhanced security, and increase the speed at which funds are disbursed to people, causes, and organizations in need.”
